Founded in 1959, ACT is a not-for-profit public trust headquartered in Iowa City, Iowa, and dedicated to helping people achieve education and workplace success. ACT provides a broad array of assessment, research, information and program management solutions in the areas of education and workforce development.
Kentucky’s initiative certifies the quality of the workforce based on six criteria specified by economic developers, site selectors, businesses and industries. In addition to the National Career Readiness Certificate criteria, communities in Kentucky must meet goals for high school graduation rates, soft skills development, educational attainment, community collaboration and digital literacy.
