Ohio's variety of options to encourage high school equivalency now includes WorkKeys for adults age 20 and over. The option calls for a composite score totaling 14 or higher across the three tests along with pursuit of an industry-recognized credential.

During its annual investor celebration last month, the Preble County Development Partnership welcomed back a key person in the creation of the public-private economic development entity to share some history of the PCDP, which recently celebrated its first decade in existence.

The economic development office for Preble County — the Preble County Development Partnership — celebrated 10 years of collaboration during a special investor event. some of the things that make Preble County attractive to developers is that it is a Certified ACT Work Ready Community, provides quick access to Columbus, Cincinnati and Indianapolis, is located near the crossroads of America and is a single day’s drive to 60 percent of the USA and Canadian populations.

Keeping the future in mind is a necessary function for persisting through disaster recovery. As regions continue to overcome the pandemic, there is a balance in preparing for future opportunities and obstacles at the same time. Latanza presented at the 2020 Annual ACT Conference on Preble County’s ACT Work Ready Community goals and status. The partnership also maintained their ACT Work Ready Communities status in March of 2020.
