Siegel High School recently honored 139 students who earned the "ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate" (ACT WorkKeys NCRC®), an assessment which measures and certifies the essential work skills needed for success in jobs across industries and occupations.
The assessments help both students and employers measure the workplace skills that can affect one's job performance including Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents.
The National Career Readiness Certificate provides an opportunity for high school students to receive college credit.
Rutherford County is working to become an ACT Work Ready Community, which is a community-based workforce development process that aligns and matches the county's workforce development efforts to the needs of business and industry -- certifying a skilled workforce.
